Thanking the Kent Archaeological Society

Lady Sondes and her team welcomed the Kent Archaeological Society and volunteers for a hog roast and Estate visit to thank them for their outstanding efforts.

Following the hog roast, the guests visited Rearing Field viewing day old pheasant and partridge chicks, followed by a visit to the 137 Giant Sulcata Tortoises!

All of us at Lees Court thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.

‘Ghosty’ and ‘Dave the Dog’ Remembered

On the 28th January 2023, the shooting community of the Lees Court Shoot, came together to plant memorial trees remembering Graham Ghost and Dave Petty. Both were long-time members of the ‘Picking Up’ Team and would often be seen together working their dogs. The two trees have been planted in an area which they often stood, overlooking the Halls Bottom Drive.

In Memory of Dave and Graham

On Beaters Day, two trees were planted for Dave and Graham now sadly departed. For Lady Sondes it was an emotional affair as she read Dave’s letter to us all gathered there. I hope those trees grow strong and tall and bring back fond memories for us all. Between them is a log for a seat, so I can take a rest, on my next Beat.
